People You Meet

21 May, 2013

People you meet

When people meet you for the first time in your business they will accept you for the role you have packaged yourself for. It is this perception that allows them to feel whether you are capable and who you say you are.

Here are some tips to ensure that you are presenting a great visual package.

  1. Analyse your business and view it through your clients eyes. What might you expect to see here?
  2. Are there any inconsistencies in your packaging that might throw doubt into the clients mind as to your authenticity? For example, not wearing the uniform correctly.
  3. Employ impeccable grooming always. Lack of attention to detail in this area can send big messages that you might be the same with your work.
  4. Ensure that your surroundings are consistent with the overall impression.
  5. Take notes from your favourite establishment as to what makes you feel confident to be there and why you always return.

This Week’s Task

Take a look at yourself. What would your clients think of you today with what you see?

Question

As a therapist or salon owner, what do you do to uphold the impression your colleagues have of you, and your clients? You can leave your comments here.

Yes indeed. We some times forget we really only ever get one chance to make a first impression so make it count! Mike B2MR
