Want A Thriving Business? Focus On Planning!

17 July, 2015

I don’t think I have met one salon owner who doesn’t want a thriving business. But do they focus on planning?

No they don’t, or most don’t.

It’s another thing to do in their busy schedules running a salon.

Let me tell you a story about me.

I used to think I was so clever, being so busy, being in demand by staff, clients, and busy sourcing new business and learning new ways to do things that I had no idea where I was.

Each week, I would think what have I achieved? Not what the salon had achieved, but what I had achieved. More than often enough, I could not write more than 3 things down, and then I had to ask myself if they were really taking me and the business forward.

So move forward several years, a lot of training and coaching, and I now know, appreciate and value the concept of planning and how that can actually make my life easier, more productive and organized.

Planning is easy, simple and fun once you know how to do it.

It allows you to identify what your long term priorities are, short term goals and daily tasks. Knowing which is which is the key to taking away the frustration of never finishing your ‘to do list’ and working on only what’s important.

Everything else can wait, because you’ll know that by not doing something your business is not going to fall apart but can actually prosper.

The other thing I learned is that taking the time out to actually plan, daily, monthly, quarterly and annually really makes life so much clearer, and let me tell you, ticking off the accomplishments is sooo much fun!

What about you? Are you running around like a headless chook sometimes sweating the small stuff or are you driven by the things that really matter longer term?

In my VIP salon coaching program, I walk you through how to identify what your priorities are in each department of your business and what the shorter term goals are, so you can operate at a high level of consciousness that means you power through your daily tasks.

It can also mean that you have less to do, because you are really laser focused on what you should be doing.

Would you like to be less stressed, more focused and on purpose to achieve your goals for this quarter?

It’s easy and I am more than happy to tell you more.

Simply click here, or email me directly for a FREE 30 minute session where I’ll walk you through one of the most affordable value-packed programs you can do and show you how by doing this you can achieve more, and find what gaps you have that might have been holding you back.

Can’t wait to connect.

Wishing you salon brilliance and success.
