What stops you from making positive change in you and your business?
As individuals we are our own worst enemies sometimes when it comes to building success. It can be fear, laziness, indifference or lack of time and resources.
Have you ever come up with excuses as to why you cant, won’t, or don’t know how to implement change? Worse still, are you someone that claims ignorance at believing that you actually need to make improvements? Accepting constructive criticism is often hard, but if you resist opening up your mind to new ideas and concepts, then nothing will change and you can be left behind.
Understanding how people perceive you is so important, just when you think you have it all worked out, everything can change and if you don’t take notice, relationships can suffer and so can your business. Nobody ever stays the same, hence you need to be constantly evolving.
Ensure you are fully up to speed and in tune with your vision, goals, and the type of client you want to attract. Do you have the right mix of staff, product, services on offer? Is your salon presenting the right image for what you are wanting to achieve? Are you consistent, and reliable? Can your clients depend on you to deliver again and again?
Don’t be the business owner who is arrogant, lacking patience, or that has a mood of resignation. Spend time noticing the little things. Poor results are only a reflection how well you are being received and perceived, this is all about your image.
If you feel like you need to course correct, then take advantage of the tools available to you in Business4Beauty, to ‘check in’ with your attitude, self esteem and motivation levels and how these are being communicated to your staff and your clients, and how they are affecting your own performance.

Thanks, Julie, for exposing the many reasons for resisting change or taking action. Especially the ‘one’ little voice that, in my case, told me ‘maybe, but not now’ and had held me back much too long in what I really wanted to do: get back to kung fu! So, after watching your video, I actually went to that class down the street to try it out and yes, it was so much fun and such a great work out, just what I had been looking for but told myself ‘was probably not available’ close to home and work. I was wrong and now happy to have listened to you! I already know that I will return on Wednesday because there is no more reason not to do what I know is good to do! Merci beaucoup!
